About IAM Event

In 2001, two friends (Ganesh Singh Rathore & Maninder Singh Atwal) planned to do get together with friends family, with main focus being entertainment, expose next generations with our roots and cultures, besides having fun for entire family (Grand Parents, Parents, Children)
In 2002, 1st event took place in their home with few families. Since then, both maintained these events at their homes for next few years
By 2006, other families supported and started hosting some events at their homes
In 2007, founder created a name of the organization IAM (Indian Association of Michigan) and very thoughtful Logo which represents combination of three flag… I with Indian flag, A with American flag and M with Michigan flag back ground
Finally in 2009, they took these events from their homes to community hall with vision of taking IAM as one of the best Friend’s Family organization in Southeast Michigan
In 2012, IAM got it’s Face Book, Instagram, Twitter page
In 2015, Indian Association of Michigan got registered in Michigan and obtained Licensing to operate as non-profit organization
In 2016, IAM created Yearly Membership requirement and at present have over 250 members.
Organize events possibly
- Lohri, Baisakhi, Holi, Diwali, Christmas, & Summer Picnic
IAM financials are available to review upon request to members

Volunteers: Help Organizers with events, can bring ideas and concerns to Organizers for review
Assistance Organizers: Assist Organizers to host an event
Organizers: Review all/any changes/updates required per event as need it
Founders: Reviews and approves of any add/changes made
